About Me

HI, I’M
SAM.

I translate nutrition science, food policy and health myths into articles everyone can actually understand.

Why should you listen to Me?

The truth is — you don’t have to.

From the outside, it can be difficult to know who to trust.

That’s where professional registration matters.

(Spoiler: you’ll also find me there.)

But qualifications alone are not enough. Good nutrition advice also needs to be based on reliable evidence.

Food and health are constantly discussed online, but without clear references it can be difficult to separate science from opinion.

Evidence Matters.

That’s why I aim to make every article evidence-informed, with references and sources provided at the end so you can explore the information source yourself.

What Do I Do?

I talk about Nutrition, Food myths, and Current topics.

Most importantly, I leave links to where I read about them. Proper sources.

I am a Dietitian, not a Nutritionist.

In the UK, “nutritionist” is not a legally protected title, meaning anyone can use it regardless of their level of training or experience. A “Dietitian” is a protected professional title, meaning you must complete an approved degree, undertake clinical training, and meet the standards required by the HCPC to remain registered to use it.

What Will You Find Here?

You’ll find articles exploring food, health, and nutrition topics and policies in a way that is accessible without needing a degree to understand them. Nutrition can be complicated, and there is a lot of jargon — so whenever I use technical terms, I’ll explain what they mean and why they matter.

You’ll also find:

Food and recipe spotlights
Exploring the science behind everyday foods, cooking techniques, and practical ways to build a healthier, more effective home kitchen.

Evidence explained
Breaking down research, policies, and nutrition debates to help you understand what the science actually says — without the confusion.

Practical nutrition support
An opportunity to work with a registered dietitian to receive personalised advice tailored to your own goals and circumstances.

Whether you’re looking for support with weight management, building a healthier relationship with food, or simply making sense of nutrition, I’m here to help you make informed, practical changes that fit your lifestyle.

Food is more than numbers, restrictions, and rules. It is culture, creativity, enjoyment, and part of everyday life.

My aim is to help you understand the science behind food — and make it work in the real world.
